​The power management system controls the power generation and distribution on board the
vessel. It includes all the automatic functions necessary for safe and economic operation
of the power plant.

The basic system consists of one Distributed Processing Unit per connected generator unit. Each performs the power management functions of the connected generator unit. The system is suitable for electrical generators driven by a diesel engine, a steam turbine or by the propeller shaft.
