RPM 300B t revolution per minute with built in digital RPM display, four pre-set potential free contacts with indication for various application normally used in marine industry. based on latest micro controllers based digital technology for accurate and convenient RPM monitoring at different location.This unit specially designed for marine application.

Almost all type of RPM sensors & teeth or pole combination which vary from vessel to vessel or engine to engine can be connected directly to RPM 300B. settings can be done at site. also . This unit can also monitor RPM of alternators with out a tacho generator or RPM pick up. This unit can connected to AC tacho generators.

Remote Digital RPM indicator up to 10 nos can be connected through RS 485, 2 wire system. An RPM pick up situated close to the engine flywheel, produces a high frequency pulse train directly proportional to the number of teeth passing it. t Principle: RPM pickup are specially designed reluctance sensor which can differentiate change in strength of reluctance path. RPM pickup are fitted with a air gap of 1 to 6 mm gap from gear wheel. Correspond to each teeth RPM pickup generate a electronic pulse. i.e. if a wheel having 40 teeth, each revolutions generates 40 pulses. RPM is nothing but Revolution Per Minute. For an engine running a 750 RPM with 40 gear teeth generates 750 x 40 =30,000 pulse per minute.

Over speed active Functional test.
Start the engine to idle RPM ( say 500 RPM), By pressing TEST switch, increase the RPM by 10 % ie to 550, when rpm reach this value, TRIP signal generated. If idle rpm is 600, by pressing TEST switch increase the engine RPM by 10%, when RPM reach 660, trip signal generated. Note: It is dangerous to increase the rpm into actual over speed. Hence it is advisable to do the over speed test by simulation mode.
